You may recall I paid a visit to Jane and her twin boys as they planted a vegetable garden in the front of their house. I recently checked back in with the family to find the garden thriving!
Jane’s Strawberries
Jane said that Daniel and Jonah did not necessarily show an interest in trying new vegetables as a result of the project. They did however, want to eat what was in their own garden. In fact, every time they went outside, they ran to see if any strawberries had ripened enough to eat. The boys were also protective of their endeavors and yelled, “Shoo, shoo” when the bunnies came too close! The boys never lost interest in tending the garden and enjoyed doing it.
Showing Off Lettuce
The family has recently sold their house and Jane is already planning how she is going to incorporate a vegetable garden at her new house. When asked about her thoughts on her first time vegetable garden, Jane said,
“It was a lot of fun. It was not only something nice to look at in the front yard but served a purpose. We received a lot of compliments. Even from potential home buyers that left feedback after viewing the house.”
Proud Papa
Maybe a vegetable garden is the new definition of curb appeal?
